BNP standing committee member Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury MP was granted anticipatory bail for six months when he surrendered before the High Court on Sunday (December 5) in connection with a car vandalizing case.
On June 29 this year, Kotwali police in Chittagong filed the case against the BNP stalwart on charge of vandalizing a car.
Granting interim bail following a petition, a High Court division bench, headed by Shamim Hasnain, issued rule upon the government to explain why the accused-petitioner should not be granted regular bail in the case.
Advocate Khandker Mahbub Hossain appeared for SQ Chowdhury.
