The High Court (HC) yesterday (Monday) stayed polls of Brahmanbaria pourashava, which was scheduled to be held today.
The HC bench comprising Justice AHM Shamsuddin Chowdhury and Justice Sheikh Md Zakir Hossain stayed the polls for three weeks upon a Writ petition.
A local voter, Nazrul Islam, filed the petition.
Advocate Anisul Haque appeared for the petitioner in the court.
