Farida Haque, wife of Supreme Court's veteran lawyer barrister Rafiqul Haque, has passed away. She was 69.
Farida Haque breathed her last around 4:30am on Friday at the city's BIRDEM Hospital, family sources said.
She had long been suffering from kidney problems.
Farida is survived by husband, only child barrister Fahimul Haque and a host of relatives to mourn her death.
Her body was taken to her family residence at Naya Paltan around 8.30am.
She would be buried at Banani graveyard following namaz-e-janaza at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque after Jum'a prayers, the sources said.
Well known for her generosity, Farida Haque had contributed to a number of hospitals and healthcare centres at Gazipur's Chandra and elsewhere.
