The High Court yesterday (Sunday) directed the Officer-in-Charge of Kamrangirchar police station to physically appear before it today (Monday) for his 'distorted' comment over amputation of a child, Niamul.
A bench of the HC comprising Justice AHM Shamsuddin Chowdhury and Justice Sheikh Md Zakir Hossain summoned the OC, Shafiqur Rahman.
The HC order followed an application placed by Deputy Attorney General ABM Altaf Hossain regarding the OC's comment published in an English daily on Thursday.
